I had always viewed chiropractic as a harsh and intrusive alignment of the spinal cord to alleviate pain. When I first came to see Dr. Muker I didn’t really know why I was there. So with this being my mindset about chiropractic, the first thing I told Sukhi about was a pain I had had in my shoulder for over a month. It is almost important to say that I was very depressed during this time, and I was so surprised to find myself totally opening up to Sukhi about how I was feeling, not just physically but emotionally as well.
My first few weeks visiting the Sunshine Life studio, was an amazing experience. I found Dr. Muker to be extremely easy to talk to and very understanding of what I had to say. During these sessions I noticed immediate improvements on my energy level and attitude. I was happier and feeling better about myself. I learned that my shoulder pain was due to a torn muscle that just wouldn’t heal because of the stress my body wasn’t integrating. Not long after seeing Sukhi for the first time my shoulder pain started to dull and then disappear as my body became more aligned and better integrated so that it was able to heal itself.
Now I’ve been seeing Sukhi every week for a couple years now and I have learned to listen to my body. Our bodies tell us exactly what we need but we forget to listen, or more precisely, we forget to feel. When I am tired I need sl
eep, when I am hungry I need food, when I have sore muscles I need to stretch and relax, or when I feel agitated or depressed I need to be active. This is what my body tells me.
Seeing Sukhi has helped me achieve a higher quality of life through regular adjustments that center my body and to better integrate life experiences. I can highly recommend regular adjustments to anyone, in pain or not to experience a higher quality of life.
